Aviation NDT — Safety Above All
Non-Destructive Testing
Safety Above All
Precision aircraft AOG NDT inspection services for operators and maintenance organizations who demand the highest standard of airworthiness.
NDT Methods
Comprehensive Inspection Capabilities
Our certified technicians deliver precise, reliable inspections using the full spectrum of NDT methods — ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements, ASTM, API, ASME, AWS, and SAE specifications.
Ultrasonic Testing
Detect subsurface flaws in metallic and composite structures using high-frequency sound waves for precise internal defect mapping. Also includes Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) for precision wall-thickness measurement, corrosion mapping, erosion monitoring, and structural integrity verification.
Eddy Current Testing
Surface and near-surface crack detection on airframe components using electromagnetic induction — ideal for fastener holes and lap joints. No surface preparation required.
Magnetic Particle Testing
Detects surface and near-surface cracks, fractures, and discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as steel and iron. Commonly applied to landing gear, engine mounts, and structural components.
Dye Penetrant Inspection
Fluorescent or visible dye seeps into surface-breaking flaws in non-porous components, making them visible under UV or white light. Effective on aluminum, titanium, and composite materials with no special equipment required.
Visual Testing
The most common NDT technique — a trained technician examines components for visible defects, cracks, corrosion, wear, or damage. Often the first step before advanced methods.
Radiographic Inspection
X-ray and gamma-ray imaging to reveal internal voids, cracks, inclusions, and weld discontinuities in metallic and composite structures. Provides a detailed view of subsurface conditions.
Thermographic Inspection
Infrared thermography detects heat anomalies, delaminations, moisture ingress, and disbonds in composite panels and structural assemblies without contact.
Barkhausen Noise Inspection
An electromagnetic NDT technique that detects residual stress, grinding burns, and microstructural changes in ferromagnetic components. Particularly effective for identifying heat damage and fatigue in hardened steel surfaces without surface preparation. BNI is also applied to aircraft overheat conditions — including brake fires, wheel bearing failures, and grinding abuse on chrome plating — where thermal damage to ferromagnetic surfaces may not be visible to the naked eye.

Shearography
Laser-based full-field inspection technique for detecting subsurface defects in composite panels and bonded structures.
Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT)
Precision wall-thickness measurement for corrosion mapping, erosion monitoring, and structural integrity verification.
Computed Tomography (CT)
3D volumetric imaging for internal defect mapping, providing a complete cross-sectional view of complex components without disassembly.
Phased Array Eddy Current (PAEC)
Combines phased array scanning with eddy current technology for rapid, high-resolution detection of surface and near-surface defects across wide inspection areas.
Immersion Ultrasonics
Automated ultrasonic testing for complex geometries and composite structures, delivering consistent coupling and high-resolution imaging across large surface areas.
P-Scan (Automated UT)
Encoded automated scanning system for weld and structural inspection, producing precise positional data and repeatable results for critical component evaluation.
Remote Radiographic Interpretation
Aviation NDT offers remote evaluation and interpretation of digital X-ray and computed radiography images. Digital radiographic files can be transmitted electronically to our certified Level II/III radiographers for expert analysis and written interpretation reports — enabling fast, cost-effective support for operators and MRO facilities anywhere in the world without requiring an on-site visit.
NDT Certifications
Certified to the Highest Standards
Our NDT technicians are certified to Level II and Level III in accordance with NAS 410, ASNT's SNT-TC-1A and CP-189 standards, ensuring industry-leading expertise and compliance.
